Dominik Greven
Physician and osteopath,
5-year osteopathy degree at the German College of Osteopathic Medicine (GCOM), graduated in 2009
Medical degree in Essen, graduated in 2019, 6 years of specialist training: 4 years of internal medicine with a focus on cardiology, 2 years of general medicine
Took over the Greven private practice in January 2025, after many years of collaboration and training.
Additional training:
Comprehensive postgraduate osteopathic training in biodynamics with Dr. James Jealous. This involved learning unique and finely tuned palpatory skills that are used in both osteopathic treatments and general medical practice.
Certification in orthomolecular medicine. In addition, knowledge of neural therapy, naturopathic procedures, ART, NAET, global diagnostics, vital field therapy, heart rate variability training, Liebscher & Bracht, mind-body medicine, and functional training therapy.

Dr. (USA) Shana Greven
Studied at Andrew Taylor Still University in Arizona, USA. 2012: Graduated as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. 2015: Completed American specialist training in neuromusculoskeletal medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine in Kirksville, Missouri.
2021: Received German medical license.
Although she is trained in osteopathic treatment for all ages and genders, she has extensive training in the treatment of pregnant women, babies, and children. Her approach is strongly influenced by gentle cranial and biodynamic osteopathic models. She treats pregnant women throughout their pregnancy and immediately after delivery. She also treats newborns immediately after birth and beyond.
She also has experience in musculoskeletal ultrasound, nutrition, functional medicine, mind-body medicine, PC therapy, global diagnostics, and vital field therapy, as well as functional body training.
In addition, she has studied and practiced transparent communication according to Thomas Hübl, as well as life and relationship coaching according to Drs. J. and J. Gottman and C. and G. Hendricks.
In addition to caring for patients, she has experience as an assistant professor at ATSU Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she teaches medical students the integration of osteopathic principles and general medicine. She currently volunteers on the examination board for board certification of the American Osteopathic Association.
Dr. (USA, ATSU) Shana Greven treats patients in Essen-Werden and at the Essen Birth Center by appointment. At the Birth Center, newborns and infants are given priority when scheduling appointments. Pregnant women, postpartum patients, and children older than one year are asked to come to the practice in Essen-Werden, unless there are special circumstances.
She speaks fluent English and German.

Barbara Greven

Established practice in 1990, working with his wife Barbara until 2022. Ceased working as a panel doctor in 2000, then established private practice focusing on naturopathy and chiropractic therapy. Additional training since 1982 in acupuncture, orthomolecular medicine, neural therapy, NAET, biological tumor treatment, various fasting and breathing therapies, homeopathy, ozone, oxygen, and chelation therapy, cell symbiosis therapy according to H. Kremer, bioidentical hormone therapy, microimmunotherapy, as well as life coaching according to Hendricks and esogetic medicine according to P. Mandel.
